Established in 1912, Western Cycle & Motor Co. began its journey on 11th Ave near Broad St. As one of Regina’s oldest businesses, we have always been locally owned and proud of our heritage.
In 1916, we relocated to Hamilton St., just north of the old city hall. Decades later, in 1972, we moved again to 1745 Hamilton St. That same year, Brian Stennes took over the growing business, and in August 2003, Western Cycle found its permanent home at 1550 8th Ave.
In 1974, we became part of the Sports Distributors of Canada, a dealer-owned buying co-op, and rebranded as Western Cycle Source for Sports. Source for Sports is a network of independently owned stores across Canada that leverage collective purchasing power to provide top-tier products at competitive prices. Our slogan, "We Fit Your Game," reflects our commitment to expert product knowledge and a highly trained, passionate staff. Each store is locally managed and owned, just like ours.
Today, Western Cycle remains family-owned and operated. Many of our full-time staff have been with us for years, and we consider them part of our family. We pride ourselves on having the friendliest, most passionate, and hardworking team, which helps us stay true to our mission.
Our customers enjoy shopping on two distinct floors with ample retail space. The main floor is dedicated to team sports, including hockey, baseball/softball, lacrosse, football, and soccer. The entire second floor houses the largest bicycle showroom in the province and a fully equipped service shop, complete with an indoor test ride track.
In 2015 we saw the opportunity too serve our customers better by branching out into a dedicated and specialized team apparel location, with a focus on in-house production.
Western Sports Apparel and Promotions is the team, corporate, and promotional marketing sales division of Western Cycle Source for Sports.
